This class is for EVERY BODY, because Yoga is for Every Body.Before the 20th century, history indicates the Indian yoga scene was dominated by the Bhagavad Gita, Yoga Vasistha, texts attributed to Yajnavalkya and Hiranyagarbha, as well as literature on hatha yoga, tantric yoga and pashupata yoga rather than the Yoga Sūtras of Patañjali. It all starts with serving each other in a way that inspires unity through inclusion. This path requires our patience, compassion, reflection, and connection. Yoga offers us a path to greater understanding and a deeper connection to ourselves and others. ![]() We aren’t worried about your clothes! You can bring a yoga mat, a hand towel and water or we have these things available. I give personal attention to beginners, take questions and I won't hesitate to workshop a pose until you understand it.įor 75 minutes you’ll experience instruction, light movement, use of props and pose modifications along with a bit of guided meditation. Even if you can't get the pose in the beginning we have props and modifications to help you attain the same benefits as those pretty folks on the cover of yoga magazines. I absolutely love beginners! You take the first step and we will help you through the rest! This class will focus on breath work, strengthening, lengthening and less demanding balance poses. In this space, we nurture friendships and put bodily anxieties to rest. We choose to surround ourselves with body positive people. It is about letting your mind relax and calm down, and not think about anything else but what your body is doing for that time. ![]() ![]() It is not about being able to touch your toes, it’s about getting in touch with your body in a different way. It is about participating versus getting everything perfect. Those new to yoga should not be discouraged or intimidated just because they can’t do complicated acrobatic moves on their first try. Because athletic abilities may vary greatly, I constantly tailor poses to accommodate individual skill levels and flexibility. If you have ever been curious about taking a yoga class, this is your chance! You can be in any shape, whether that is body shape, or physical shape, even if it has been a while since you last exercised.
